Mexican Folkloric Dance Club will perform traditional dances that are danced in celebrations and festivities in Mexico. The dances are La Raspa, La Rascapetate Las Chiapanecas, El Jarabe Tapatio (Mexican Hat Dance). Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of the Battle of Puebla. On May 5, 1862, the people of Mexico conquered the French Army against great odds. The Mexican People were outnumbered nearly two to one.
