🏋️‍♂️ Powerlifting Update! 🏋️‍♀️ Our powerlifting team traveled to Dexter High School last Saturday! 💪🔥 Neili and Rowan showed their strength and qualified for the Varsity State Meet at Lake Orion, while Rebecca, Gracie, and Emmanuel crushed it and secured their spots at the JV State Meet in Croswell Lexington! 🏆🎉 A huge shoutout to all our incredible lifters for their hard work and dedication this past weekend. 🎉🏆 A huge congratulations to Renae Schaffner for being named Assistant Coach of the Year by the Michigan HS Softball Coaches Association! 🏆🎉 Renae has been an integral part of our coaching staff for 33 years. Her remarkable journey includes leading Morenci to consecutive softball state championships in 1985 and 1986 as an All-State pitcher. Renae's athletic prowess continued at Hillsdale College, where she played both basketball and softball, earning All-American status and later being inducted into the Hillsdale College Athletic Hall of Fame. From her humble beginnings as a volunteer coach over three decades ago to becoming an invaluable leader on our staff, Renae's dedication and passion for coaching are truly unmatched. Her attention to detail and ability to motivate our athletes have played a pivotal role in our program's success.

Middle school sports begin tomorrow, August 21. All Morenci Middle School students are welcome to participate. Each athlete must have a physical on file dated on or after 4/15/23. No sign-up is needed, just show up on the 1st day of practices with a physical & ready to go!
