Community members interested in serving on the Morenci Board of Education are encouraged to consider running for one of three seats that will be on the ballot in the November election.
Three (3) four-year terms will be filled through the upcoming election. The elected candidates will serve from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2030.
Individuals seeking a position on the ballot must file the required paperwork with the Lenawee County Clerk's Office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. Candidates may qualify for the ballot by submitting nominating petitions containing at least 6 signatures from registered voters or by paying a nonrefundable filing fee of $100.
Nominating petitions are available through the Lenawee County Clerk's Office. Candidates must also submit a notarized Affidavit of Identity at the time of filing.
