Morenci Area Schools held their National Honor Society Induction Ceremony on May 5 in the high school gym, recognizing students for their outstanding achievements in scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
During the ceremony, the Morenci Chapter of the National Honor Society welcomed Brennen Harsh, Lillian Harsh, Drew Joughin, Audrey Price, and Harrison Sarnac.
In addition, the chapter recognized seniors Emersyn Bachelder, Rebecca Cox, Lauryn Dominique, Evelyn Joughin, Talan Kruse, Katelyn Ruse, and Addyson Valentine by presenting them with senior stoles in recognition of their dedication and commitment to the organization throughout their high school careers.
Current National Honor Society members include Hailey Cleveland, Aly Curtis, Colbie Ekins, Rylee Fredrick, Mariana Guillen, Jayla McCowan, Lilly Roger, Emilee Stretch, Jaelyn Thompson, Callie VanBrandt, Landon Wilkins, Emma Williams, and Tessa Zuvers, who continue to represent the values and standards of the organization through their leadership and service to the school and community.
“The National Honor Society recognizes students who demonstrate excellence both inside and outside of the classroom,” said Principal Jonathan Miller. “We are incredibly proud of these students and the positive example they set for others through their hard work, leadership, and commitment to serving our school and community.”
