Morenci Area Schools is pleased to announce that the Board of Education approved the hiring of Madison Weaver as the new Principal of Morenci Middle/High School during a special board meeting on July 30, 2026.
Weaver brings a passion for student success, relationship-building, and collaborative leadership to Morenci Area Schools. She is transitioning into the principal role after serving as a special education teacher, where she developed a strong commitment to meeting the unique needs of every student while partnering with families and colleagues to help all learners succeed.
A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Weaver earned a bachelor's degree in Special Education with a minor in Physical Education and a master's degree in Educational Leadership. Her experience in special education has shaped her student-centered leadership philosophy and commitment to ensuring every learner has the opportunity to succeed.
"I am incredibly honored and excited to serve as the next principal of Morenci Middle/High School," said Weaver. "I am moving into this role after serving as a special education teacher. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about helping every student reach their full potential. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff, supportive families, and outstanding students.”
Weaver believes the strongest schools are built on trust, respect, and teamwork, and she is committed to fostering a positive school culture where students feel safe, valued, and challenged, teachers feel supported and empowered, and families are welcomed as true partners in their children's education. She looks forward to building meaningful relationships with students, staff, families, and the Morenci community.
