Due to the recent resignation of a board member, Morenci Area Schools is seeking applications for the current vacant position on the Board of Education.

Candidates must be qualified school electors, meaning at least 18 years of age, and a citizen of the United States, a resident of the state of Michigan for at least 30 days, and a resident of the school district on or before the 30th day before the date of appointment, and a registered voter in the Morenci Area Schools District. Once appointed, the individual will fill the vacant position through December 31, 2028.

Interested persons must submit a letter expressing interest in the board position and their

qualifications for the position to:
