Morenci Area Schools is proud to announce the outstanding achievements of three students who recently competed at the state level in the Educators Rising student organization competition. Representing the LISD Tech Center Educational Careers program and Morenci Area Schools, these students showcased their talent and dedication to education.
Makayla Nieman and Rebecca Cox excelled in the Children's Literature K-3 category, where they wrote and read aloud an original children's story. Their hard work paid off as they secured first place in the state, an incredible achievement given the high level of competition. They will be moving on the Nationals in Orlando, Florida, next month.
Jillian Borton competed in the Elementary Bulletin Board category and placed in the top ten in the state. Additionally, all three students placed in the top three of their flights, demonstrating their exceptional skills and creativity.
With over 500 competitors from across the state, these students stood out among the best. We are incredibly proud of Makayla, Rebecca, and Jillian for their dedication and success. Their achievements highlight the strength of our educational programs and the commitment of our students to excellence in teaching and learning.
