On May 8th, the Morenci National Honor Society (NHS) hosted its annual induction ceremony, welcoming 13 new members. Each new inductee recited the NHS Pledge, committing to uphold the core values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
This year’s newly inducted sophomore members are: Hailey Cleveland, Aly Curtis, Colbie Ekins, Rylee Frederick, Mariana Guillen, Jayla McCowan, Lilly Roger, Emilee Stretch, Jaelyn Thompson, Callie VanBrandt, Emma Williams, Landon Wilkins, and Tessa Zuvers. We are excited to see the contributions these outstanding students will bring to NHS.
In addition to the new members, 10 senior students were honored with their NHS stoles, recognizing their dedication and service throughout their time in the society. The seniors honored were Wyatt Berger, Emmett Jarrell, Zoey Martinez, Makayla Nieman, Abby Pierce, Chelsea Pierce, Brady Pumell, Beau Shaffer, Wyatt Stevens, and Emily Zuvers. These students have served as role models and leaders, impacting Morenci’s NHS chapter.
Also recognized were our current junior members who continue to uphold NHS values: Emersyn Bachelder, Rebecca Cox, Lauryn Dominique, Evelyn Joughin, Talan Kruse, Katelyn Ruse, and Addyson Valentine. We deeply appreciate their ongoing commitment to excellence.
Congratulations to all the inductees, juniors, and graduating seniors—we are proud of your accomplishments and the positive example you’ve set for Morenci.
