🫀 Students in Mr. Boesger’s Human Anatomy class are getting hands-on experience exploring the structure and function of the heart by dissecting sheep and cow hearts. Through this lab activity, students learn about the heart's chambers, valves, and major vessels while making real-world connections to human anatomy and physiology. It’s a great example of interactive learning in action!

🎉🌮 Congratulations to Allison Jimenez and Madelyn, Barnhart the winners of the Rock-yo-Taco mascot contest! We are excited to celebrate their creativity and amazing artwork as the selected winners for Morenci Area Schools. Their designs did a fantastic job showcasing Bulldog creativity and school spirit! 🐾

Middle School and High School students were invited to create artwork featuring the new mascot, “Rollo the Burrito,” and the community casted their votes on the Rock-yo-Taco Facebook page to help choose the winners.

A special thank you to Mr. Pratt and Rock-yo-Taco for providing this fun opportunity for our students to share their talents with the community!

Students in Ms. Weaver's class recently experienced an engaging, hands-on science project as they observed eggs develop and hatch into chicks right in the classroom.

Throughout the process, students learned about life cycles, basic biology, and the responsibility of caring for living things. They tracked progress, recorded observations, and made predictions, integrating reading, writing, and math along the way.

The excitement peaked as chicks began to hatch, and students have loved sharing their knowledge and showcasing the chicks to others. This project sparked curiosity while teaching patience, responsibility, and real-world connections to learning.

Morenci students were inspired during a powerful assembly with Terrence Talley.

Through personal stories and heartfelt messages, Terrence encouraged our students to never give up, lean on others, and remember that they are never alone. His message of hope and connection truly resonated throughout the room.

One of the most meaningful moments came when Terrence recognized the impact of his previous visit, highlighting how Lily Roger was inspired to start the Never Giving Up group right here at Morenci. 💙 What an incredible example of turning inspiration into action!

We are so proud of our students for embracing this message and continuing to support one another as they live the Bulldog Way.

👉 Take a moment to talk with your child about today’s message—who is someone they can reach out to, and how can they support others?

🤖 Miswired Robotics: A Strong First Season!

Our Morenci Miswired Robotics Team wrapped up an impressive first year of competition! After gaining experience at their first event, the team came back stronger, finishing their second competition with a 9–3 record and earning the 11th seed.

Even more important than the results, our students built skills in teamwork, communication, and problem-solving that will carry them far beyond the competition floor.

We’re proud of this group and excited to see the program continue to grow!

💬 Help us celebrate! Drop a 👏 in the comments or give a shoutout to a team member!

Our 8th grade students are sharing their knowledge in a big way! 🐾

Students from the Small Business Farmers Market class visited our 4th graders to read their self-written book on worms and vermicomposting 🪱📚. They wrapped up their visit with a great Q&A session and helped students start thinking like scientists using a graphic organizer ✏️🔍.

We can’t wait to see what they learn during their next visits—including a hands-on worm investigation!

The 8th-grade class had the opportunity to visit the Holocaust Pop-Up Museum in downtown Adrian. Students learned about the Holocaust, World War II, and important pieces of local history. This experience connects directly to what they are currently studying in history about civil disobedience and reform movements, and it will also support their upcoming literature unit in English class. It was a meaningful day of learning, reflection, and connection between the past and the topics we are exploring in the classroom.

Mr. Moore’s Modern American History students stepped back into the Roaring 1920s! 🎡 Each group designed a themed 1920s amusement park, becoming experts on different parts of 1920s life—from fashion and music to culture and innovation. They created rides, restaurants, and attractions to match their theme and wrapped it all up with written explanations to show their thinking.
