Mrs. Bernath brought learning to life in our GSRP preschool program! 🌿She introduced a variety of spices, and our students had the chance to smell each one and guess what they were. What a fun, hands-on sensory experience for our kiddos!

Mrs. Elliott's fourth grade class had a special visitor last week! Mrs. Barrett, a retired teacher, came back to read a story and lead a Presidents Day craft with our students. The smiles and excitement said it all,such a fun afternoon!

We are so grateful for the continued support of educators like Mrs. Barrett. She’s awesome! 🐾

Our 3rd graders wrapped up their Engineer a Wagon challenge this week! Students designed, engineered, tested, and improved their wagons, showcasing teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience every step of the way.

We’re so proud of their hard work and determination as they learned that great designs are built through creativity, testing, and improvement. Way to go, Bulldogs! 💙🔧🛠️

Our 5th graders brought creativity to life this week as our ceramics study took form during STEAM class. From shaping clay to problem-solving through the design process, students explored art, engineering, and creativity all in one hands-on experience.

Mrs. Curtis’ 3rd grade students are officially published authors and illustrators! They have been working so hard learning the writing process and submitting their very own book for publication. 📖

The excitement was real when their books arrived in the mail! Principal Mrs. Fink even stopped by to read the book to the class and celebrate their amazing accomplishment. We are so proud of our young writers and creators! 🐾

🌊🐾 Our 1st Grade Bulldogs rode the wave of innovation! The “Engineer a Surfboard” challenge wrapped up with students designing blueprints, engineering their boards, and testing them to see if they could float. They redesigned, improved, and predicted how much weight each could hold—showcasing incredible problem-solving, resilience, and creativity. Bravo, 1st Grade!

🎉💍 Our Kindergarten Bulldogs said “I do” to learning at the Q & U Wedding last week! ✨📚 Students discovered that Q and U are inseparable, because Q just can’t make words without its favorite partner! ❤️ It was a fun, memorable way to bring phonics to life, complete with dress-up, smiles, and a sweet cake celebration at the end. 🍰

Our week was filled with creativity and hands-on learning! Students learned how to create their own printing plates, use printing ink and a brayer, and pull their own prints. It was messy, fun, and a great way to explore the full process of printmaking. 🎨🖐️

🎈 Balloons Over Broadway Project 🎈Our 3rd graders had a wonderful time studying Balloons Over Broadway! After reading the story, they put their creativity to work by designing and building their very own parade balloons.

They wrapped up the project with a school-wide parade, proudly showing off their imaginative creations. They worked hard, collaborated beautifully, and brought so much joy to our hallways! 🐾✨

Our Jasper Johns art project is officially complete! Students studied the Army veteran and artist’s iconic American flag collage, learning how he layered newspaper, hot beeswax, and oil paint to create his famous work. Using his techniques as inspiration, our young artists created their own newspaper American flags from start to finish, and they look incredible! 🎨✨❤️🤍💙
