Good Afternoon from Morenci Area Schools. This message is to inform you that report cards are complete for all middle and high school students. You can find all final grades on the Parent Portal, or you may pick up a paper copy of your student's report card at the middle school office tomorrow or Thursday, June 15th & 16th, from 8am - 3pm.
Tomorrow, Wednesday June 8th all students grades 6-11 will take a Board Approved Universal Health Screener. A link to this screener is on the district website located on the main page in the upper right hand corner.
A random student from the high school and one middle school will be drawn at the end of each week. If the student drawn hasn’t had any discipline issues, tardies or absences that week, their name will be announced over the PA and they get to choose a prize! Congratulations to last week's winners: Brennen Harsh and Elizabeth Ferris.

Morenci’s Credit Recovery Policy: Credit recovery is designed to allow students an opportunity to make up lost credits in an effort to complete graduation requirements. Currently, the online program of Plato, is used for this purpose. Students may ask to sign up for credit recovery at any time, however. All final cumulative exams must be taken at the school under the supervision of school personnel and must be passed in order to receive credit for the course. All summer work must be completed and the cumulative exam taken by Tuesday, August 16, 2022. If the course is not completed within the timeframe, it will be disabled and no grade will be reported on the transcript. Reminder: tomorrow is a half day of school, with dismissal at 11:30 AM, and there is no school on Monday so that we can all observe Memorial Day.
In the middle and high school, we are also looking forward to the beginning of our ECHO term tomorrow. All students' schedules have been updated to reflect their new classes.
