On Tuesday, 4/18, Army recruiters from the Jackson Army Career Center came to Morenci Schools to do a "gym class takeover". The takeover is part of their recruiting process that allows them to participate in class alongside students and it also creates an opportunity for students to ask questions about potential career opportunities for their future. Middle school and high school students in Miss. Walker's and Mr. Schneider's physical education classes received giveaways and enjoyed some competitive basketball as part of their day with Sergeant Stone, Sergeant Davis, and Sergeant Leonard.

In March, Eight students in the Marketing and Graphic Design program at the LISD Tech Center competed at the DECA State Career Development Conference in Detroit. Morenci seniors Clarissa Berger and Garrett Caudill represented Morenci in the competition. Garrett is in the Principles of Marketing Program. Clarissa is in the School-Based Enterprise and advanced to International Career Development Conference in Orlando Florida this week. Congratulations to both students and Good luck to Clarissa this week.

Mr. Rupp and Colsen were all dressed up for the Tall Tale presentations in 6th grade English class.

3DPT Physical Therapy will be hosting a 2023/2024 sports physical clinic on May 12th at Morenci High School from 8:00 am – 10:30 a.m. The cost is $15 and proceeds are used to benefit school sports programs. If you would like to have your child participate please complete the MHSAA physical form with all signatures and payment to the office before the clinic. Cash or check payable to 3DPT Physical Therapy will be accepted. Physical forms are available in the MS/HS office.
